License
What this License covers
This License is granted by Sidian Labs and covers every component, variant, screen template, icon, hook and helper you get from LumioUI — through the CLI, the registry, the website or any other channel (together, the “Items”). “Free Items” are those offered without a plan; “Pro Items” are Pro components, Pro variants and all screen templates. The License is part of our Terms of Service.
LumioUI is not open-source software. The Items are licensed, not sold, and these terms replace any earlier statement that described them as MIT-licensed or open source. Copies of free components installed before 13 October 2026 under an earlier MIT notice remain usable under that notice.
Words used here
- End Product — an app, website or other product you or your client build, in which the Items are used to create the interface. An End Product must add substantial functionality or content of its own beyond the Items.
- Developer — a person who works with the Items’ source code (installs, edits or maintains it).
- Seat — one Developer covered by a plan. Pro covers one Developer; Team covers the number of Developers shown on your plan.
What you may do
Subject to this License, Sidian Labs grants you a worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual licence to:
- install, copy and modify the Items in your own source code;
- use them in an unlimited number of End Products for yourself, your employer or your clients;
- sell, distribute and charge for those End Products, including in app stores, without attribution to LumioUI;
- let contractors and colleagues work on an End Product’s code that contains Items — but each person who uses Pro Items to build must be covered by a Seat.
For Pro Items, the licence covers the Developers on your plan and every version of a Pro Item you downloaded while your plan was active. It does not end if your account later stops being on a paid plan; you simply stop receiving new Pro downloads and updates.
What you may not do
- Redistribute the source. Do not sell, sublicense, share, publish or give away the Items’ source code, alone or bundled, modified or not — including in UI kits, template collections, theme stores, component marketplaces, starter kits or boilerplates.
- Compete. Do not use the Items to build a product whose main purpose is to let others use, generate or obtain UI components, screens or templates — for example a component library, design-to-code tool, app builder or AI training set.
- Publish Pro source. Do not commit Pro Items to public repositories or otherwise make their source publicly accessible. Open-source End Products may use Free Items; they must not include Pro Item source.
- Share access. Do not share license keys or Pro downloads with people outside your plan, or pool one plan across an organisation larger than its Seats.
- Remove the gate. Do not bypass, disable or work around license checks, or help others do so.
- Claim authorship. Do not present the Items themselves as your own design work for sale (your End Products, of course, are yours).
Screen templates
Screen templates are Pro Items. You may build End Products from them — including shipping a template as a screen of your app with your own content, logic and branding. You may not sell or give away the templates as templates, in whole or in part, or use them as the main content of a template, theme or starter-kit product.
Free Items
Free Items may be used by anyone, with or without an account, on the terms above — the same grant and the same restrictions, minus the Seat requirement. You may include Free Items in open-source End Products, as long as the repository is an End Product and not a collection or redistribution of the Items.
Teams and organisations
A Team plan covers the number of Developers shown on it; add Seats as your team grows. Seats belong to the organisation: you may reassign a Seat when someone leaves. A client who receives an End Product you built does not need a Seat unless their own Developers keep building with Pro Items.
Third-party code and assets
Items rely on open-source packages such as React Native, Reanimated, NativeWind and Gesture Handler, installed under their own licences. Brand marks shown in some Items (payment networks, sign-in providers, app stores) belong to their owners — use them only as their owners’ guidelines allow. Photos and sample content in demos are placeholders; replace them in your End Products.
If this License ends
This License ends automatically if you materially break it and do not fix the breach within 14 days of our notice. When it ends you must stop using the Items in new work; End Products already shipped to users before the breach may stay in use. A refunded purchase ends the Pro part of this License for that purchase.
No warranty
The Items are provided “as is”, as described in the Terms of Service. Statutory rights you have as a consumer are not affected.
Not sure?
If your use case is not clearly covered — for example a white-label product, an agency building for many clients, or something close to the restrictions — write to [email protected] before you build and we will confirm in writing.
