Cookies & Storage
Cookies
| Name | Purpose | Lasts | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
lumio_session | Keeps you signed in. Holds a random token; we store only its hash. HttpOnly and Secure, so scripts can’t read it. | 30 days, or until you sign out | Strictly necessary |
lumio_oauth | Protects “Continue with Google” sign-in against forgery. Only set while you sign in with Google. | 10 minutes | Strictly necessary |
Strictly necessary cookies don’t need consent under the EU ePrivacy rules or the UK PECR, because the service you asked for can’t work without them. If you block them, you can still browse and install free components, but you can’t sign in.
Preferences stored in your browser
The site remembers a few choices in your browser’s local or session storage so pages look the way you left them. This data never leaves your device and is not sent to us.
| Key | What it remembers |
|---|---|
lumi-theme | Light or dark theme |
lumi-pm | Your package manager for install commands (npm, pnpm, bun) |
lumi-accent, lumi-finish | Preview accent colour and phone finish |
comp.recent, scr.recent | Components and screens you viewed recently, for quick return |
lumi-me | A five-minute copy of your name, email and plan, so the header shows you’re signed in without waiting (cleared when you close the tab) |
lumi-providers | Whether Google sign-in is available, for this visit |
ic.*, comp.cat, comp.q | Your current filters and searches on the icon and component pages, for this visit |
You can clear all of this at any time from your browser’s site settings. Nothing breaks — the site just forgets your preferences.
Third parties
Fonts and icons are served from our own domain. The live component previews come from our previews site and set no cookies. If you use “Continue with Google”, Google’s own cookies apply on Google’s pages; if you buy a plan, our payment partner’s checkout sets the cookies it needs to process the payment securely, under its own policy.
Changes
If we ever add a cookie that isn’t strictly necessary — for example analytics — we will update this page and ask for your consent first. Contact [email protected] with any questions.
