Terms of Service
Who we are and what these terms cover
LumioUI (the “Service”) is a React Native component library, screen-template library, website, command-line tool (the “CLI”) and registry API operated by Sidian Labs (“we”, “us”). These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Sidian Labs. They apply when you visit the website at lumioui.com, create an account, install items with the CLI, call the registry, or buy a plan.
The License sets out what you may do with the components and screens themselves, and forms part of these Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data, and our Refund Policy explains refunds.
If you use the Service for a company or other organisation, you confirm you are allowed to accept these Terms for it, and “you” includes that organisation.
Accounts
- You need an account to buy a plan or create license keys. Free components can be installed without one.
- You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live if that is higher, to create an account.
- Give accurate information and keep your email address current — we use it for receipts, security notices and important changes.
- You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your password and license keys secret. Tell us at [email protected] if you think either has been compromised; you can revoke keys and sign out other sessions yourself on your account page.
- You can delete your account at any time from the account page. Deleting it ends your license keys and access to Pro downloads; it does not remove copies of items you have already installed into your projects, which stay covered by the License.
Plans, prices and payment
- Free. The free components are available to everyone at no charge under the free terms of the License.
- Pro and Team. Paid plans unlock Pro components, all screen templates and license keys for the CLI, for the number of developers your plan covers. Current prices and what each plan includes are shown on the pricing page and at checkout.
- Our payment partner. Purchases are processed by a third-party reseller that acts as the merchant of record. It sells the plan to you, collects payment, calculates and remits sales tax, VAT or GST, issues your invoice and handles refunds and chargebacks. Its own terms and privacy notice also apply to the payment. We never see or store your full card details.
- One-time purchases. Unless checkout says otherwise, a plan is a one-time purchase that gives a perpetual licence to the items you receive, plus updates to Pro items for as long as we offer the Pro product.
- Price changes. We may change prices for future purchases. A change never affects a purchase you have already made.
- Early access. While checkout is not open, Pro access may be granted manually on request. Early-access grants are at our discretion and may be limited in time; we will tell you before any early-access grant ends.
The CLI, registry and license keys
- License keys are personal to your plan. Each developer covered by your plan may use keys from your account on their own machines and in your continuous-integration systems. Do not publish keys, share them outside your plan, or embed them in apps or public repositories.
- We may rate-limit requests, and may suspend or revoke a key that is leaked, shared beyond your plan or used to download Pro items at a pattern that suggests redistribution. We will tell you when we do and, where it is safe to, give you a chance to fix it first.
- Pro items are delivered as source code into your project. Once installed, your use of them is governed by the License, not by your account status — but new Pro downloads and updates need an active plan.
Acceptable use
When using the Service you must not:
- try to access Pro source, other people’s accounts or our systems in ways we have not offered — for example by bypassing the license check, reusing someone else’s session or key, or probing for vulnerabilities without permission;
- copy, scrape or mirror the website, the live previews or the registry in bulk, or use them to build a competing component library, template collection or design-to-code product;
- overload or disrupt the Service, or use automated means to create accounts or license keys;
- upload or send anything unlawful, harmful or infringing through any part of the Service;
- misrepresent your identity or your connection to Sidian Labs.
If you find a security issue, please report it to [email protected]. We will not pursue good-faith research that respects other users’ privacy, does not degrade the Service and gives us reasonable time to fix the issue before disclosure.
Ownership
Sidian Labs owns LumioUI, including the components, screens, icons, demos, documentation, website design, the name “LumioUI” and the Lumio mark. Except for the rights the License gives you, no rights are transferred to you. Feedback and suggestions you send may be used by us freely and without obligation to you.
Some components build on open-source libraries (for example React Native, Reanimated or NativeWind) that are installed into your project under their own licences. Those licences continue to apply to that third-party code.
Changes to the Service
We keep improving LumioUI, so items, demos and features change over time. We may add, change or retire items. If we retire a Pro item, the copies you have already installed remain licensed to you. We aim to keep the Service available but do not promise uninterrupted access; maintenance and outages can happen.
Warranties
The Service and all items are provided “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to make them reliable, accessible and well-built, but you are responsible for testing them in your own apps and for how your apps use them. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties such as merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
If you are a consumer in the EU, the UK or another country whose law gives you statutory rights — for example the right to digital content that is as described and fit for purpose — those rights are not affected by this section.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Sidian Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for your plan in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50 if you have not paid anything.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or — for consumers in the EU and UK — for breach of your statutory rights.
Suspension and ending
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms or the License, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. Where reasonable we will warn you first and explain why. If we end your access without cause, we will refund a fair share of any amount you paid for access you can no longer use. Sections on ownership, warranties, liability and the License’s rules on installed items survive the end of these Terms.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service changes or the law requires. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for material changes, tell account holders by email at least 30 days before they apply. If you keep using the Service after the changes apply, the new Terms govern your use; if you do not agree, you can stop using the Service and delete your account.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer living in the EU, the UK or another country whose law gives you the right to bring proceedings at home or to rely on its mandatory consumer protections, you keep those rights. Before going to court, please write to us — most problems are solved quickly by email.
EU consumers may also use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution information at consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu.
General
- These Terms, the License, the Privacy Policy and the Refund Policy are the whole agreement about the Service between you and us.
- If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
- Not enforcing a term straight away is not a waiver of it.
- You may not transfer your account or plan without our written agreement. We may transfer these Terms as part of a reorganisation or sale of LumioUI, and will tell you if we do.
